Feel Good Friday is back again this Friday September 29th. Retailers, Cork Business Association (CBA) ,Cork Chamber and the City Council come together to host Feelgood Friday is an exciting event that takes place throughout the streets of Cork city centre on the last Friday of every month. Douglas Street AutumnFest
The Douglas Street Business Association are delighted to present AutumnFest 2017 on Sunday October 1st– a celebration of the vibrant and unique ‘village within a city’ that is Douglas Street!
Open House celebrates the best in Architecture that Cork city has to offer. The public can take part in talks, tours and workshops held in buildings all over the city. All these events are completely free and showcase the rich and varying architecture of Cork city.
Purple Flag Weekend
Purple Flag weekend is on October 6th-8th. Cork City Centre holds the Purple Flag award for a vibrant and well managed evening and night- time economy. Paint the town purple that weekend to celebrate as buildings will be illuminated purple and there will be special promotions on offer<Taste of Cork Jazz
Taste of Cork will this year be teaming up with Diageo and Guinness Jazz Festival to bring you an extended Taste Jazz special running from 23rd to 26th October. #TasteJazz
Pitch’d – A Circus Arts Festival
Kindly supported by Arts Council Ireland and Cork City Council, the aim of the festival is to educate artists and the public in what circus is, what it can be, and what Cork can offer to the world. There are lots of workshops and street entertainment – keep an eye out for the fire show on Cornmarket Street on Saturday, September 30th at 8p.m.
Indie Cork Film Festival
IndieCork presents short films, documentaries and features and a number of special events. It’s about creativity and the festival champions cinema that engages with social, political and cultural matters. It will take place this year October 8th -15th. Click here for details.
This years Decades Festival takes place on 29th & 30th September in a variety of venues across the city centre! Last year there were a record number of outlets and the plans are in place to increase this number of participating outlets to over 50 licensed outlets. Cork Opera House will also be involved again on the Saturday night. Many of the venues will have late night extensions over the weekend so people can enjoy moving from outlet to outlet over the weekend.
Cork Food Harvest Festival
Cork Food Harvest Festival is a celebration of the many food initiatives across Cork. There will be a mix of feasting, merriment, contests, music and celebration through family and public events in communities across the city and county. For more information click here

Taste Cork Week takes place from the 16th – 22nd October 2017, celebrating Cork’s produce, history & flourishing food culture. Once again Taste Cork is teaming up with Festival Cork to deliver an exciting programme, tailored to lovers of truly great food!
