Guinness Cork Jazz Festival

24 – 28 October

One’s of Cork’s most eagerly awaited festivals returns from 24 – 28 October!

Over 1,000 musicians will take over the city in an extraordinary blend of sounds across the entire jazz spectrum!

There is a wide range of free events planned alongside legendary headliners swinging by, and over 50 venues taking part in the action including Cork City Hall, the Opera House, Nano Nagle’s, the Everyman Theatre, and the festival club at the Metropole Hotel – there’s something for everyone for the whole long weekend!

Autumn Fest 2019

29 September

The Douglas Street Business Association are delighted to present AutumnFest 2019, a celebration of the vibrant and unique ‘village within a city’ that is Douglas Street!
Sunday Sept 29th. 12-6pm.

With great entertainment for all the family featuring circus street performers, acrobatics and comedy as well as live music with Samba and Brass Bands, Street games and Kiddies ‘Silent Disco’; there is also a historical walking tour, Silversmith Workshop tours, ‘Tell a Tale’ storytelling & much much more

Plenty of great food options also with Spanish Paella , Miss Piggy’s Roasted Pig on a spit and Pizza Slices, Douglas Street is where it’s at on Sunday, September 29th from 12-6pm.

Cork Folk Festival

3 – 6 October

The Cork Folk Festival is one of Ireland’s finest musical events and each autumn thousands of world class musicians and followers of good music throng to the city. Performances take place in concert halls, music venues, in 30 pubs and at the open- air Ceili Mor on the Grand Parade.

IndieCork Film & Music Festival

6 -13 October

IndieCork is a vibrant festival of independent cinema in Cork, with a strong focus on music also. Features, documentaries, short films and special events screen over the six days of the festival, with talks, conferences and seminars on the film and music scenes.

Dragon of Shandon

31 October

Each year thousands take to the streets of Shandon to walk with the dragon as it travels between worlds in a celebration of the living & the dead accompanied by an assortment of creatures from the underworld.

Open House Cork

4 – 6 October 

Open House is a design festival which runs in over 40 cities across the world, celebrating the best architecture each city has to offer.

There will be a series of talks, tours and exhibitions held in buildings all over the city that will showcase the rich and varying architecture of Cork. All of the events are completely free, and mostly available on a first come, first served basis.
