Feelgood Friday returns this Friday, May 25th. This is an exciting event that takes place throughout the streets of Cork City centre on the last Friday of every month, from May to September. Music Generation’s talented performers will be popping up across the city from 12pm onwards everywhere from the Kino to the English Market and from brass bands to rappers. There’s even a free lunchtime concert featuring young pianists and flautists in the Crawford Art Gallery from 1.10pm, a lively lunchtime gig outside Brown Thomas and an evening time performance outside the Central Library. Cork Harbour Festival 2nd-10th June 2018
Cork Harbour Festival is a week-long celebration of Ireland’s unique
maritime heritage, set in the second largest natural harbour in the world. This year’s festival will take place from 2 – 10 June 2018.
The Irish Examiner Cork City Marathon Sunday June 3rd
Now in its 12th year, the Irish Examiner Cork City Marathon is an internationally recognised marathon welcoming participants from home and abroad. The marathon and relay will start on St Patrick’s Street at 8.30am and the half marathon will start in the Albert Road area at 10.15am.
The increasingly popular annual festival ‘Soul in the City’ returns to the Victorian Quarter Cork this June Bank Holiday weekend.
Free parking in North Main Street & Paul Street car parks – enter the car parks from 12 noon, pay for 2 hours parking and get the next 2 hours free. Free Parking in Black Ash Park & Ride – enter the car park from 12 noon and park for free.
10 days of music, dance, theatre and more on the banks of the Lee. Cork Midsummer Festival is an annual multi-disciplinary arts festival that uses the city as its backdrop and inspiration.
This award-winning FREE fun-filled family day takes place in one of the most historical and charming parts of the city. Everyone, whether long-time local or first -time visitor, is invited to join in on SATURDAY 23RD JUNE 2018 1-6PM. Shandon Street Festival
The Cork City Centre Forum has been working on developing customer service as a unique selling point of the city centre. A draft customer service charter has been developed following extensive research with Cork Institute of Technology. A training programme has been developed in conjunction with the Cork City Local Enterprise Office. A session for the owner/managers will take place on June 12th from 9 to 10.30, followed by a session for a senior staff member on June 19th from 9 to 12 noon. Both are in the Crawford Art Gallery. As well as the training element, your businesses will also benefit from a number of mystery shopper visits. As this is a pilot project the cost is greatly reduced.
